Volunteer as a Conversation Partner
Do you love meeting new people? Do you have 60 minutes to spare each week?
If so, then you’d be a perfect volunteer!
Volunteers will meet with WESLI students for one hour a week to help them practice English conversation, focusing on feeling comfortable and understanding culture. No grammar knowledge or correction required!
By giving your time, you allow students to build confidence in speaking with native English speakers. And you will contribute to their understanding of American culture and language intricacies like slang and idioms.
Have you considered being a Homestay Host?
Being able to "live like a local" and experience American life with a local host in the Madison area is one of the biggest experiences for students. You can exchange language and culture while sharing YOUR Madison with short or long-term students.
